1. Who we are and acceptance
danzo.dance ("DANZO", "we", "us") is an online guide to the dances, cultures, dance schools and dance events of the world, operated by Mehrdad Torabi, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Contact: hello@danzo.dance.
By visiting, browsing or using DANZO, or by submitting any registration, advertisement or content, you accept these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What DANZO is — and what it is not
DANZO exists for one purpose: to help dance lovers discover dance traditions and find dance schools, teachers and events. DANZO is an information and discovery platform only.
- DANZO is not a dance school, teacher, agency, broker, employer or event organiser, and does not teach, sell or book classes.
- DANZO is not a party to any agreement, enrolment, membership, booking or payment between you and any school, teacher or organiser.
- A listing, a "✓ Verified" badge (which only means the school confirmed its email and details) or a sponsored placement is not a recommendation, certification, guarantee or endorsement of quality, safety, qualifications or legality.
3. Your responsibility before you register or pay
Any registration, enrolment or payment you make to a dance school, teacher or event organiser is made entirely at your own risk and under your own responsibility. Before paying anything, you must check the school yourself, including:
- visiting the school's physical premises and, where possible, taking a trial class;
- confirming its identity, legal operation, permits, teachers' qualifications, insurance and safety conditions;
- reading its prices, contract, cancellation and refund policy in writing and keeping receipts.
DANZO does not receive, hold or process payments for schools, cannot issue refunds and does not mediate disputes. Any claim about classes, prices, refunds, quality, conduct or injuries must be addressed directly to the school, teacher or organiser concerned and, where applicable, to the competent consumer authority (in Mexico, PROFECO).
4. Accuracy of information
Listings, schedules, prices, addresses, events and dates are compiled from public sources and from information supplied by schools and organisers. They may be incomplete, out of date or change without notice. Always confirm details directly with the school or organiser before travelling, booking or paying. DANZO is not responsible for errors, omissions or changes in third-party information.
5. Dance, health and minors
Dance is a physical activity that carries a risk of injury. Consult a doctor when appropriate and practise within your abilities. DANZO is not responsible for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from classes, events, venues or activities found through the site.
Parents or legal guardians are solely responsible for choosing, checking and supervising any school, teacher or activity for a minor. Registrations on DANZO must be submitted by adults (18+).
6. Rules for dance schools and organisations
To be listed as a dance school, an organisation must have a real, permanent physical address where classes are taught, open to students. Online-only services, home-delivery teachers or virtual addresses may be listed only as instructors or not at all, at DANZO's discretion.
By registering, the school confirms that: it operates lawfully; the person registering is authorised to do so; all information (name, address, phone, programmes, photos, links) is true, current and its own or licensed; and it will notify DANZO of closure or changes.
DANZO may review, verify, request evidence, edit for clarity, translate, refuse, hide or remove any listing or registration at any time, at its sole discretion and without notice or liability, including when a school closes, cannot be contacted, provides false data or receives credible complaints. Basic listings are free; DANZO does not guarantee position, visibility or any number of visitors or students.
7. Advertising and Spotlight placements
Schools and organisers may request paid placements (for example the "Spotlight" area). Paid placements are clearly marked as sponsored and are advertising, not editorial recommendations.
- A placement starts only after DANZO approves the request in writing and receives full payment in advance. Price, period and position are those stated in DANZO's written confirmation.
- The advertiser is solely responsible for the content, offers, prices and legality of its advertisement and confirms that it owns or has licensed all texts, images and trademarks supplied.
- DANZO may refuse any advertisement, and may suspend or remove it, without refund, if it breaches these Terms, the law or third-party rights, or is misleading.
- Once a placement is published, payments are non-refundable except where Mexican law requires otherwise. If DANZO cannot provide a placement for reasons attributable to DANZO, its only obligation is to extend the period or refund the unused part.
- DANZO does not guarantee results, clicks, enquiries or enrolments.
8. Content you submit
You are responsible for everything you submit to DANZO (registrations, descriptions, photos, links, messages and, in the future, opinions or reviews). Content must be truthful, lawful and respectful: no false, defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, misleading or infringing content, no spam and no personal data of other people without their consent.
You grant DANZO a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, transferable licence to host, reproduce, adapt, translate, publish and display that content on DANZO and in DANZO's promotion. DANZO may moderate, edit, refuse or remove any content at its discretion. Opinions published by users are their own and do not represent DANZO.
9. Intellectual property — all rights reserved
The DANZO name and logo, the site's design, texts, translations, articles, descriptions, maps, data compilations and databases, selection and arrangement of content, code and all other materials are owned by Mehrdad Torabi or used under licence, and are protected by Mexican copyright and industrial property law (Ley Federal del Derecho de Autor, Ley Federal de Protección a la Propiedad Industrial) and international treaties. Photographs by third parties are used under their licences and credited on the relevant pages; those rights belong to their authors.
No content of DANZO may be copied, reproduced, republished, translated, distributed, sold, framed, scraped, extracted in bulk, used to build another directory or database, or used to train artificial-intelligence systems, in whole or in part, without DANZO's prior written permission. Permission requests: hello@danzo.dance.
Personal, non-commercial viewing and sharing a link to a DANZO page are permitted. Any authorised use must credit "DANZO — danzo.dance" with a link. Unauthorised use will be pursued by all available legal means.
10. Prohibited uses
You may not: use robots, scrapers or automated tools to access or copy the site; collect schools' or users' contact details for unsolicited marketing; submit false or duplicate registrations; impersonate anyone; interfere with security, the database or the admin area; or use DANZO for any unlawful purpose. DANZO may block access and take legal action against any breach.
11. Third-party websites
Links to schools, organisers, social networks, maps or other sites are provided for convenience only. DANZO does not control and is not responsible for their content, products, services, privacy practices or payments.
12. No warranties
DANZO is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. DANZO may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DANZO, Mehrdad Torabi, and its owners, staff and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, loss of money, data, profits or opportunities, injury or dispute arising from: the use of the site; information published on it; any school, teacher, organiser, venue, event, class, payment or contract; or any content submitted by users or advertisers.
Where liability cannot be excluded, DANZO's total liability is limited to the amount you paid directly to DANZO in the twelve (12) months before the claim (zero for visitors who have paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Mexican law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold DANZO and Mehrdad Torabi harmless from any claim, damage, fine, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your registration or advertisement, your dealings with any school or organiser, or your breach of these Terms or of the law.
15. Changes, governing law and jurisdiction
DANZO may update these Terms at any time; the version published on this page, with its date, applies from publication. Continued use means acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, and the parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them by reason of their present or future domicile or for any other reason, except where consumer law grants you a non-waivable right.
If any clause is held invalid, the rest remains in force. These Terms are published in English, Spanish and Persian; the English version prevails in case of discrepancy, except where Mexican law requires the Spanish version.
