Mapuche ceremonial movement associated with community, spirituality and reciprocity; not simply a stage folk dance.
Movement, sound and territory can carry social and spiritual significance. Interpretations should be led by Mapuche voices and appropriate permissions. Specific forms vary by community, ceremony and purpose. Group stepping, circular patterns and instruments may appear, but there is no universal public instruction for all rites. Mapuche dance practices remain active within contemporary communities and their histories; they should not be presented as relics of a disappeared culture.
